The cycling of Prespa is 72 km long. The elevation varies from 825 m to 1142.3 m above sea level. The trail goes through the northeast of the Korça Valley just where a relatively rough incline starts towards the National Park of Prespa. The views of the Greater Prespa Lake that accompany you through this trail are amazing. The paved road takes you up to Zaroshka, by the lakeside, but it quickly gets replaced by a rough mountain incline in Cerje eventually getting to Rakicka on the other side. The descent starts with the Smaller Prespa Lake and it ends by the entrance of the Treni Cave, which is well known for its rich ancient history. This is one of the most attractive tourist regions of the Balkans that is known for its rich flora and fauna besides its extraordinary natural beauty. There are over 1500 types of plants and 40 mammalian species; among which the brown bear, the wolf, the curly pelican etc. It is the highest lake in Albania coming at 853 m above sea level. It is one of the most interesting natural water systems in the world full of appealing elements that assure your ride is going to be unique. We recommend you use mountain bike for this trail or ride in formation since over 20 percent of its entirety is challenging.
